Well, I guess I have a few more things to write about this week! The big news is that I got a new dog!! His name is Moses (Mo) and I adopted him from the Bradford/McKean County Humane Society. He's a one year old Terrier mix... I think he might be Border Terrier or Wheaten Terrier. Not so sure. He's a little guy and he's very, very cute and cuddly. All he wants to do is lay in my lap and snuggle. ^__^ But I did learn that he gets very, very car-sick. He puked 5 times on the way home from Bradford. T__T Poor guy.

Also, this week was Mother's Day, so my mom and I went out to dinner with Gramma BJ and Gramma Becky. We went to Perkins and had pancakes and such... Well, I had a huge blueberry Belgian waffle. It was great! And I took some pictures!

Better Late...

Well, it's been a quiet couple of weeks here. I'm still job-hunting, so I spend most of time doing chores around the house and relaxing. It's finally starting to get hot here as well, but the weather is beautiful so I don't really mind.

I also decided it was about time to show you all my new room and my haircut, so enjoy the pictures below!

This is my new bed, complete with matching sheets and comforter. It's been a long time since I had a real bed, and it's NICE!

Gramma's Birthday!

So, Sunday was Gramma BJ's birthday, but my mom had to work, so today we went out to Red Lobster to treat her to dinner. ^__^ Red Lobster is my favourite, and I love their Build-Your-Own Shrimp Festival. I had pecan-crusted grilled shrimp and garlic butter shrimp scampi. It was so good!

Also, this week I got new sunglasses that make me feel all glam and wonderful, so I took some pictures!

I am so glad these huge sunglasses are in style!

Sorry for the lack of posts! I'm home safe and sound in Pennsylvania, but the first week back was pretty busy and I didn't have time to write. This week has been quiet, and I'm enjoying relaxing. I'm gonna get a haircut and go to dinner with Ann and Stacey on Friday, and I have a high tea-party on Saturday. I should have something to post about then!!

あばよJAKE...

So, last night we partied at 'jake' for the last time. It was a wonderful evening, but bittersweet... Seri-chan, Yumi and Kino-P all sang songs dedicated to me. Shinichi also showed up, even though we haven't kept in touch recently. I was really touched that he thought enough of me to want to come and say goodbye. Lots of other friends also popped in by coincidence, so it ended up being a really great night.

I think 'jake' will always have a special place in my heart. It has an atmosphere completely different from any other place in Fukui... or Japan for that matter. So relaxed and welcoming... when I'm there I feel as though I can completely be myself. It's kind of reminiscent of an American jazz/blues bar, but at the same time, not. Does that make sense? Probably not. ^^;;

All I can say is that I have a lot of good memories of the nights I spent there, and of all the people I met.

I'm so grateful!

さぁ、昨日は最後のjakeの夜だった。（涙）とても楽しかった夜だったけど、なんとかほろ苦い気分だよね。芹ちゃんもゆみちゃんもKino-Pも私に歌を捧げてくれた。嬉しいわ！そして最近連絡してないのに、伸一君も来てくれた。とても感動しました！他の友達もいっぱい居たで、ちょ～楽しかった！ホントに最高でした！

心の中にjakeのいい思い出はいっぱいあります！なんか普通のバーと全然違う雰囲気です。すごく暖かくて気軽い店だよね。日本っぽくないし、でもアメリカっぽくないし...　ユニークなバーです。何よりもjake風だわ！

とにかく、私はjakeで過ごした夜の思い出は大切にします！そこで出会った友達の思い出もね。

ホントに感謝します！

New Blog!

Well, I decided to try out Blogspot and see if it's better, worse, or the same as Xanga. No one seems to read my Xanga anymore, anyway. So we'll try this for now and see how it goes. I do like the editor quite a bit.

In any case, I feel that it's time for a change.
